For winter 2008,Cultura is presenting a young ,modern, romantic collection.
With attention to every detail, the clothes gather up souvenirs from trips to some famous cities like Paris, New York or Las Vegas, transforming them into prints and applications.
Pants have a soft line, whether they are large or slim, printed or plain colour.
Jackets are soft with lace applications hiding the prints under, or over printed with lace tromp l’oeil giving them a polished bon ton look.
Coats and capes have a revisited vintage look, mono-colour or printed with vintage 50’s and 60’s scarves.
Dresses are romantically draped, others have a vintage bon ton look, lace paired with printed jersey, black lurex is printed “ton sur ton”.
T-shirts and tops with various new feminine volumes and cuts, wool jersey, viscose and lurex are embroidered with monuments like the Eiffel Tower or the Statue of Liberty all ton sur ton.
Knitwear is a very important part of the collection, a particular rib is used on some pullovers and dresses then overprinted with stars, dots and revisited military motifs. Other pieces are made of light mohair wool with feminine volumes, others in wool with lurex yarn to give warmth and lightness.
Prints are taken directly from the streets of New York , monuments, souvenirs, tromp l’oeil lace, revisited Botticelli’s paintings and vintage scarves to give a romantic but yet young and modern atmosphere to the collection.
The colours for winter 2008 are, black, off white, grey, dark violet, red and dark brown.
